Tioga County Man Charged With Rape Involving Child

A Tioga County man is free to await his next date inn court after being arrested on allegations of having sexual contact with a child.

Sheriff’s officials say they arrested 32-year-old Cameron Scott Taylor of Erin October 7 on felony counts of rape and criminal sexual act for the alleged incident in the Town of Spencer.

According to a news release, the Tioga Criminal Investigations Division says Taylor is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse and sexual conduct with a person less than 17-years-old.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance with a date set for Town of Spencer Court next week.
