Tioga County Man Charged with Criminal Contempt

A Newark Valley man was sent to Tioga County Jail after he was accused of violating an order of protection.

Authorities say 26-year-old Zachary Brown of Howard Hill Road was charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Brown was arrested on Wednesday evening.

Brown was arraigned in Owego town court and remanded to Tioga County Jail on $1,500 bail. He was ordered to appear in Newark Valley town court on September 29.
