Tioga County Business Volunteers as Mask Donation Site
Tioga County Legislative Chair, Martha Saurbrey is thanking people who have made homemade masks to donate to the community.
Home Central stores in Candor and Owego have volunteered to be a mask donation center for the county.
Anyone who has made a mask to donate can drop them off to the Candor store on Owego Street and the Owego Store on Central Avenue during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p-.m and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to be picked up by people who need one and can’t make a mask on their own.
Residents are asked to wash the mask before using it and also to practice social distancing when picking up a face covering. Masks are available on a first-come, first-serve basis as they are available as donations come in.
