The Associated Press reports three young men from Western New York, accused of plotting to attack a Muslim community in Delaware County with guns and homemade explosives have pleaded guilty.

The three and a 16-year-old high school student from Greece, New York were arrested in January and accused of planning to attack the community of Islamberg, near Hancock.  Police have said the defendants had access to 23 rifles and shotguns and three homemade explosives.

Investigators uncovered the plot after a student reported hearing suspicious comments at school.

20-year-old Vincent Vetromile pleaded guilty June 28 to felony criminal possession of a weapon.  He faces seven to 12 years in prison.

20-year-old Brian Colaneri and 19-year-old Andrew Crysel pleaded guilty to terrorism-related conspiracy.  Each faces four to 12 years in prison.

Lawyers for Vetromile and Colaneri said the plea deals hing on no federal charges being brought against the pair.

The case of the 16-year-old boy is going through the juvenile court system.

About 200 people live in Islamberg, which is an enclave of the Muslims of America.
