Authorities say three suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a man in a residential neighborhood in the town of Union.
According to New York State Police, each of the men taken into custody has been charged with second-degree attempted murder.
They were arrested following an investigation into the shooting of a 40-year-old man on Carl Street in West Corners around 7:40 p.m. July 25.
The suspects - who all live in Binghamton - were taken into custody at different times since the attack.
Investigators said 40-year-old Keith Harris was arrested on July 27; 38-year-old Alex Shoga was arrested on July 29; and 31-year-old Tavin Wilson was arrested on August 11.
State police said the men were arraigned at Broome County Jail in the town of Dickinson. Authorities did not say where they are at this time.
Authorities said they are suspects in the incident in which a man was shot in the chest.
Investigators would not release the name of the injured man or provide any details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
People who were on Carl Street at the time said they heard several shots. State police have not said whether the man was shot on the street or inside a building.
The July 25 shooting happened near the scene of a September 2016 Carl Street shooting.
