Two men and a teenage boy have been charged following the theft of a gun from a parked vehicle in West Endicott.

Authorities say the incident happened Friday in the area of Anson Road. A man told Broome County sheriff's deputies he had put hunting gear and a long gun in his car before returning to his residence. A short time later, the man discovered the firearm was missing.

State troopers who were responding to another call observed three people with a long gun case walking nearby. When troopers stopped to interview them, they ran.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, two of the suspects were apprehended after a foot pursuit. The third was found later in the day.

The gun - a CVA Wolf .50 caliber muzzleloader - was recovered.

Investigators say 21-year-old Dillon Kniffen and 20-year-old Devin Warren - both of Roosevelt Avenue, Endicott - were arraigned at the Broome County Jail in the town of Dickinson.

The third suspect - a 17-year-old boy from Downs Avenue, Binghamton - is to appear in family court.

All three have been charged with grand larceny involving a firearm, a felony.
