Thousands turned out for the 50th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Binghamton Saturday afternoon.  Spectators and participants braved temperatures in the upper teens to low 20's and frigid, gusty winds.  Although the crowd was diminished by the cold weather many people of all ages still turned out.

The parade began near St. Mary's Church at Court and Fayette Streets and finished on Main Street at the intersection of Arthur Street.  The biggest portion of the crowd was congregated between Chenango Street and Water Street near Boscov's.

Numerous area fire departments took part in the parade.  Fire trucks as well as firefighters, emergency personnel and first responders were well represented.  Many media groups took part in the festiviities including News Radio 1290 WNBF.
