The Tioga County Fair Gets Underway in Owego

The annual Tioga County Fair is underway after organizers and vendors battled the hot-humid conditions under a heat advisory to set up August 6 and for the pre-fair Sire Stakes horse races.

In addition to the popular staples like rides, games and carnival foods, there will be dozens of vendors and exhibitors, including 4-H competitions throughout the run of the fair.

The fair is open daily from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. through August 11 in Owego.
