The Broome County Public Library is reminding people they are open, even though it is by appointment.

People can not only look for reading material but can also use facilities like the local history center, the copier and public computers and access wireless service.

To keep everyone safe, the face masks are required and the sessions for browsing and using facilities can be limited to 30 or 90 minutes.

There is a limit of one appointment per day and times can be scheduled online at or call the Reference Desk at (607)778-6451 for information.
