Due to exposure to the many weather elements over the years, along with bird and insect invasions, the once proud beacon of the Strawberry Festival is showing its age.
Owego is gearing up for its 36th annual Strawberry Festival in June and steering the effort is festival chairwoman, Sandra Knapp-Dunbar, who is the guest on the May 28 edition of the local weekly public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up.
