The National Weather Service in Binghamton says the precipitation combined with continued melting of snow and ice has a potential for causing some water issues.
Emergency Services officials in the region report they have all been advised to keep up on the water levels in area streams and rivers while ice jamming continues to plague flood-prone areas.
The authorities in the Southern Tier are not reporting any big trouble with flooding due to ice jams in the region but there are spots where water has spilled over river and stream banks.
