Suspect in Rathskeller Bar Stabbing Identified as B.U. Student
[Bob Joseph/WNBF News[/caption]The man accused of stabbing an employee of the Rathskeller bar reportedly is, like the victim, a Binghamton University student.
22 year old Steven Mangra is charged with felony assault in the stabbing at around 3 a.m. September 2.
Police say Mangra listed a home address on Washington Street.
Mangra was sent to the Broome County Jail on $5,000 bail.
The victim was treated for a wound to the abdomen and released.
Police have not said if they have determined a motive for the stabbing.
Binghamton University again issued a caution to students to be aware of their surroundings and to remain in groups as they return to their housing units.
