Suspect in Bradford County Investment Scam Caught in California

While authorities consistently say its hard to track online criminals, a cross-country success is being reported in Northeast Pennsylvania.

The long-arm of the law has reached across country to nab a California resident in connection with an investment scam that victimized an Asylum Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania woman.

Troopers say Filadora Ausejo-Diener of Concord, California will be extradited to Bradford County to stand trial for being an accomplice to numerous financial crimes.  Investigators say Ausejo-Diener was arrested for the long-term, multi-state investment scam with the assistance of the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office and Concord, California Police Department.

The investigation is continuing.

Authorities again remind people “do NOT send money to individuals you have recently met online” and to be cautious of financial offers from people they do not know personally that seem “too good to be true.”
