Broome County Sheriff’s officials are investigating a burglary at Apple Food Mart on Hooper Road April 22 in which packs of cigarettes were taken.

Authorities say a man seen on surveillance video apparently collecting bottles and cans outside the store at around 1 a.m. has been arrested.  His name has not been released.

Sheriff’s officials say the man was seen picking up cans and bottles then throwing something at the store window, breaking it and stealing several packs of cigarettes.

The man will be charged with felony criminal mischief and burglary.
