
$100,000 Damage to Dick’s Sporting Goods Store in Smash-and-Grab
Police are looking for up to six people who were involved in a bizarre smash-and-grab break-in at a Dick's Sporting Goods store in upstate New York.
The burglary at The Mall at Greece Ridge near Rochester happened early Saturday morning.
According to the town of Greece Police Department, "brazen suspects" used a stolen vehicle to drive through glass and metal cages at the Dick's Sporting Goods store.
In a tweet, the agency said "as many as six suspects" entered the store to commit the burglary. Investigators did not say what time the incident occurred early Saturday.
The police department released several still images taken from surveillance video recordings.
No information was released regarding what, if anything, was taken in the break-in.
The store in the town of Greece opened in August 1994.
