SUNY Broome Spring Semester Begins
SUNY Broome Community College is starting its Spring 2020 semester.
Officials say as of January 24, 4,253 students were enrolled at BCC. Just over half those students, 58.4%, are from Broome County, 37.6% from elsewhere in New York State, 3.3% from out of state and .7% from outside the United States.
66.9% of students are traditional, taking classes on-campus. 17.3% are combining physical classes in the Town of Dickinson with online courses while 15.8% are signed up to get their education exclusively online.
A big highlight this semester will be the opening of the Culinary and Event Center in Binghamton. The $21.5 million facility in the re-claimed former Carnegie Library in Downtown Binghamton is to officially open in April.
