Stop DWI Patrols Increased

Area law enforcement agencies are gearing up for the big game and all the festivities this weekend by planning some overtime.

Increased checkpoints and patrols for a concerted drunk driving crackdown officially start February 5 and continue through Monday, February 8.

Ahead of the big game and the increased patrols, Broome County Stop DWI and state anti-drunk driving groups have rolled out public service announcements urging residents to have a plan for getting home if they drink alcohol.
