While the slots for oral testimony for the first of New York State’s Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin & Opioid Addiction at Binghamton University filled up prior to the event, comments can still be submitted to the panel.  Comments can be emailed to Akshar@NYSenate.Gov.

Other sessions are set for Thursday, February 15 at Pace University in Pleasantville and Wednesday, February 28 at Columbia-Greene Community College in Hudson, New York.

Akshar, who co-chairs the task force along with George Amedore and Chris Jacobs, said there is no “silver bullet” in solving the heroin/opioid epidemic so it’s important to listen to families and communities impacted across the state.
