Spiediefest Weekend

The 33rd Annual Spiediefest and Balloon Rally is underway and continues through Sunday at Ostiningo Park.  The celebration combines spiedies, hot-air balloons and plenty of food and entertainment.  The Spiediefest opened at 3 PM today and runs til dusk.  Festival hours are 6 AM til dusk both Saturday and Sunday.

Friday walk-in admission is free courtesy of Visions Federal Credit Union.  Visitors do however need a ticket to enter the concert area.  Saturday and Sunday walk-in admission costs eight dollars per person with children ten and under admitted free. Sales for concert admission tickets end at 6 PM Friday.

There is a wide variety of vendors with food and refreshments all around the Spiediefest grounds.  Major highlights include a car show at 10 AM on Saturday and a Spiedie Cooking Contest Sunday at 1 PM.

Friday at 7 PM Dennis DeYoung with the Music of Styx

Saturday at 5 PM Blue Oyster Cult followed by Eddie Money at 6 PM

Sunday at 4 PM Kelly Pickler followed by Sara Evans at 530 PM.

Parking is available on the campus of SUNY Broome with shuttle bus service to the Spiediefest.
