Snow Stifles Southern Tier Schools
A late season snow storm, bringing three inches or more of snow to the Southern Tier, Central New York and portions of Northeastern Pennsylvania gives students and faculty a day off and turns out the lights to dozens.
Many schools in New York State opted to closed while a few Northeast Pennsylvania schools delayed a couple hours to give road crews time to improve the conditions.
Unlike Sunday, April 3, New York State Electric and Gas was reporting only a few customers in Broome, Chenango and Delaware Counties without power while several thousand had been without electricity the day before.
There have been only a few reports of minor crashes.
