Smyrna Residents Accused of Hiding Missing Girl

Two people are accused of hiding a girl who had been reported missing at a home in the Village of Smyrna.

17 year old Michael Russell and 43 year old Jodi Clark are charged with obstructing governmental administration and endangering the welfare of a child.

Chenango County Sheriff's officials say they advised Clark and Russell they would be arrested if the deputy was prevented from locating the girl and getting her back to her parents.

Investigators say the pair knowingly concealed the girl at the home.

Russell and Clark have been ordered to appear in Village of Smyrna Court at a later date.
