Drivers traveling through Binghamton are coping with several paving and other projects.

Downtown traffic has been slowed with milling and repaving operations on sections of Henry and Water streets.

Motorists are maneuvering through an obstacle course of raised manhole covers, orange barricades and construction equipment near the Binghamton Federal Building and Boscov's department store.

The work has resulted in temporary downtown parking restrictions.

On the city's West Side, portions of Riverside Drive between Front and Beethoven streets continue to be affected by a repaving project.

A daytime detour continues to be in effect for part of Front Street between Clinton and Gaines streets near the Broome County Health Department offices.

Crews are lowering the road surface below two railroad bridges to provide more clearance for large trucks.
