Just hours after classrooms were back in operation across the Binghamton region, many kids and at least few teachers were wondering: When will we get our first snow day?

Connor, the official mascot of WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, loves snow. And he's among those wondering when we'll see enough of the stuff to merit at least a one-hour delay. He pays attention to the school buses... and to the weather forecast.

The summer conditions are continuing throughout the Twin Tiers for now. But remember: It's not unusual to see a significant amount of heavy wet snow in late October... It might not be enough for a snow day but it could be sufficient to lead to a delayed start of classes, especially in some of the rural school districts.
