Seminar Planned to Help Non-Profits From Becoming Theft Victims
Following the arrest of a former church treasurer on a grand larceny charge for allegedly stealing about $250,000 from the church, the Broome County District Attorney says there have been far too many cases of people violating the public’s trust at the expense of churches and non-profit organizations.
Steve Cornwell’s office says there are plans to host a free finance seminar for non-profits, charities, churches, booster clubs, volunteer fire departments and other organizations Wednesday, September 27 at 6 p.m. at the Endwell Fire Department on Country Club Road.
