The Sacred Heart Ukranian Festival was held this Saturday and Sunday at the church's picnic grounds 607 Brooks Road in Castle Creek.  Festivities were held on both days from Noon - 8 P.M.

Hundreds attended on both days and were treated to dancing, craft displays and homemade ethnic foods.  Dozens of church volunteers donate their time to bake, cook and serve traditional Ukranian foods like Pyrohy, Holubtsi and Kobasa. In addition others volunteered to prepare the picnic grounds for the festival, staff exhibits and booths and sell and collect tickets for visitors to purchase food.

Sacred Heart's Reverend Teodor Czabala oversees and helps organize the annual festival.  Proceeds go to benefit various church projects.
