The Binghamton Rumble Ponies begin a four-game series tonight (Tuesday) against the Erie Seawolves at NYSEG Stadium. First pitch is set for 6:35 (air on News Radio 1290 WNBF at 6:20).  Erie has gotten off to a good start in the second half of the season.  The Seawolves are 28-10 and tied with Bowie for the top spot in the Western Division. Binghamton is in second place in the Eastern Division at 20-20 and 3.5 games in back of Reading.

In 12 previous meetings each team has won six games.  Binghamton took three of four outings against Bowie over the weekend.  In that series the Rumble Ponies outscored the Baysox 11-3.  Tonight is the fifth game in the eight-game homestand for Binghamton.

Tony Dibrell is the Binghamton starter and is 0-2 this season.  Countering for Erie is Kyle Funkhouser at 2-1 this season.  Binghamton is 18-27 when playing at NYSEG Stadium.  The Rumble Ponies 37-22 when on the road.  In the month of July the Rumble Ponies are 15-11 overall.
