The Binghamton Rumble Ponies finished their seven-game road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Baysox in Bowie.on Wednesday.  The Rumble Ponies won two of the three games in the series and finished their seven-game road trip at 4-3 pushing their overall record to 25-16.  Patrick Mazeika continued his torrid hitting pace with his sixth home run of the season to account for Binghamton's only run. Harol Gonzalez gave up a two-run home run to Ademar Rifaela for the only runs scored by Bowie.

Binghamton has an off day on the schedule today and returns home for the Memorial Day weekend for four consecutive games against the Trenton Thunder.  Game one in the series is set for Friday night at 7:05 (air at 6:50 on New Radio 1290 WNBF).

Heading into the Trenton series the two teams are in a neck-to-neck race for the Eastern Division top spot.  Binghamton has a .05 edge on the Thunder with a record of 25-16 while Trenton is 26-17.  Right behind the top two teams is Reading.  The Fightin' Phils are one and one-half games out of first place.
