Rotten Weather Postpones Binghamton Mets Game Tonight

The  Binghamton Mets versus Portland Sea Dogs game scheduled for tonight at NYSEG Stadium has been postponed due to unplayable weather conditions.  The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, May 3rd with game one set for a 12:05 PM start.

This is the fifth game postponed by bad weather this season.  It is the third home game postponed for the B-Mets.  The two road games knocked out by weather were in Portland.  The B-Mets now have three games to make up against the Sea Dogs.  Just how bad has the weather been this month ?  Last season the B-Mets had one game postponed in their first 66 contests !  The B-Mets are 9-7 through 16 games played.  At the current postponement rate Binghamton has been unable to play on almost 24 percent of the scheduled dates !

The B-Mets conclude their homestand tomorrow night with a 6:35 game against the Sea Dogs.  Airtime is 6:20 with Tim Heiman on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
