The Roberson Museum and Science Center Board of Trustees held its annual meeting November 17 where members were reelected to three and one-year terms. That routine business has been eclipsed by a step-up by the directors as the museum and mansion on Front Street is facing one of the biggest challenges financially in its decades-long history.

The Trustees of Roberson have committed more than $20,000 to match all donations, dollar for dollar, that are made during the annual winter campaign.

The members say they hope having the additional financial clout behind an individual donation will help inspire people to make a contribution, maybe for the first time, to what is one of the most cherished treasures of Broome County.

The winter campaign runs through December 31.

Contributions can be made online at roberson.org/donate or mailed to Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street, Binghamton, New York 13905.
