“Retreat at Bunn Hill” Housing Project Approved by Vestal Board
The Vestal town board has given the green light to a controversial 161-unit housing project on a site south of the Binghamton University campus.
The board voted unanimously Wednesday evening to allow the Retreat at Bunn Hill development to be constructed.
Georgia-based Landmark Properties plans to build cottage-style buildings on 42 acres of land near Bunn Hill and Jensen roads.
The company intends to purchase the site from an entity controlled by the Kradjian family.
Many Vestal residents have been vocal in their opposition to the project, expressing concerns about traffic and other issues.
Some of those who have been fighting the development have indicated they may go to court to keep the project from going forward.
