“Red Roof” Name Appears Over Owego Treadway
A new sign has been installed at a Tioga County hotel, marking a transition from local ownership.
The former Treadway Inn on Route 17C in the Town of Owego now features a "Red Roof Inn & Suites" sign.
The Treadway, along with the neighboring Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express, were acquired by Rudra Management of Cheektowaga.
The hotel properties with a total of 220 guest rooms were sold by Owego Associates Incorporated. A purchase price for the hotels and the real estate was not disclosed.
The "Owego Treadway" name is being retained for the 12,000-square-foot banquet and conference center.
