Red Cross Volunteers Needed During Pandemic
We are all experiencing the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic, and the American Red Cross is in need of Volunteers to provide support.
There are many ways people can help their American Red Cross Disaster Team, typically home fires, flooding, and regional disasters are areas needed, but Red Cross volunteers are needed to help with community and national COVID-19 environment support.
The current coronavirus pandemic holds trained disaster volunteers, unable to deploy to other areas and help other parts of our country in emergency situations.
Another area of concern is volunteers for sheltering support efforts that occur during natural disasters, and because of COVID-19, the Red Cross DAT needs to house people in safe locations.
The American Red Cross is in need of Health Care Providers such as EMT, LPN,RN, NP. Paramedics and more to help assess and observe people who may need medical assistance.
If you would like to find out more about volunteer opportunities, go to redcross.org/volunteer or e mail WCNY.VSRecruitment@redcross.org and you’ll want to review the guidelines.
If volunteering is not possible at this time, you can always help the Red Cross by making a donation by visiting redcross.org or call 1-800-REDCROSS or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
