Saturday was filled with polka music at Tioga Downs Casino in Nichols, NY as Polkapalooza III was held.  Music kicked off with Joe Stanky and the Cadets from Pa. at 11 AM. They were followed by Fritz's Polka Band from Verona, NY.  Salt City Brass played from 3-5 PM and the day wrapped-up with John Stevens' Doubleshot from 5-8 PM.

The event drew a large crowd with people already seated in Coasters well before 10:30 AM.  The bands played a variety of music from traditional polkas and waltzes to country and oldies.  But the driving force was the polka music.

There was no admission charge to attend Polkapalooza III.  Polka bands have proven to be a big attraction at Tioga Downs.  The Polkapalooza shows coupled with Fall appearances by polka legend Jimmy Sturr have drawn big crowds over the course of the last several years.
