Biggs had been wanted on a pair of arrest warrants charging him with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the warrant division learned Biggs had been staying at a residence on East Main Street in Endicott.

Authorities say Biggs ran into officers when he tried to slip out the front door of the place as warrant division personnel entered through the back.

Biggs was sent to Broome County Jail where he was being held on the arrest warrants.

Police also arrested 40-year-old Chaniqua Richburg. She was accused of aiding Biggs by telling officers she had not seen him in several weeks and did not know where he was staying.

Richburg was charged with hindering prosecution, a felony. She was arraigned in Union town court and ordered held without bail.
