Pets Die in Susquehanna County House Fire

Officials are investigating the cause of a house fire that left several pets dead in Susquehanna County.

A person living in the home made it out safely early June 4 when the fire broke out on Fair Hill Road in Forest Lake Township.  A half-dozen cats and three dogs died in the blaze. The home was declared a complete loss.

Officials say while the damage to the building is so substantial, making it difficult to pin down a cause, the fire is not being considered suspicious.
