PennDOT Holds “Paint the Plow” Contest

Travelers in PennDOT's District 4 may notice a unique look to snow plow blades in use this winter around northeastern, Pa.  PennDOT recently held a "Paint the Plow"contest involving high schools around District 4. Students were invited to paint a snow plow blade based on a statewide theme of "Don't Rush in Ice and Slush.

According to information provided from PennDOT's District 4 office the theme was chosen to draw attention to the need for motorists to give themselves plenty of time for travel during winter weather.  The students did a great job and came up with some unique and colorful designs.
