Memorial Day ceremonies are being held all around the nation.  Locally, many communities held parades and ceremonies honoring military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States of America.

In Binghamton the Memorial Day parade stepped off at noon.  Veterans groups, military personnel, police and fire officials and many others took part.  The parade began at American Legion Post 80 at 76 Main Street and continued onto Court Street to the Broome County Courthouse where ceremonies were held.
