Owego Man Charged in Village Stabbing Attack
A suspect has been taken into custody after an Owego resident was stabbed during an early-morning burglary in the village.
Authorities say 24-year-old Andrew Tucker of Liberty Street faces two felony charges following the incident.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, the stabbing was reported around 1:28 Monday morning.
Investigators say Tucker is accused of unlawfully entering a Front Street apartment and assaulting a man who lived there with a knife.
The man who was attacked was treated at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City and released. The name of the injured man was not released.
Tucker was charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree assault. He was arraigned before a Candor town justice and sent to Tioga County Jail on $200,000 bail.
Tucker was ordered to appear in Owego village court on August 15 at 10:30 a.m.
