Owego Free Academy Students Build Storage Facility at Roberson

Several students in Owego Free Academy's building trades program have been busy working on a project in Binghamton.

They've been constructing a storage shed at Roberson Museum and Science Center on Front Street.

About eight students spent several hours on Monday building the facility behind Roberson's building on the city's West Side.

The high school building trades initiative gives students hands-on experience on construction projects.

The Owego students have been participating in the building trades classes over the past several weeks.

The storage shed is being built in conjunction for Roberson's Clayworks program.

The family of 1980 Owego Free Academy graduate Jeff Roush made a donation in his memory following his death last January.

The gift is funding the “Jeffrey Roush Raku House” for Clayworks.
