Otsego Man Charged After Dozens of Cows Found Dead
An Otsego County man is accused of torturing, overdriving and injuring dozens of animals after New York State Police responded to a report that the man’s cows hadn’t been seen on a rented dairy farm in Edmeston.
45 year old James Mumbulo is charged with 27 counts after authorities found 27 dead cows lying in several inches of manure and no food or water in the barn.
Troopers say they responded to the farm on County Route 20 October 21st and arrested Mumbulo at around 3:50 p.m. after they consulted with a veterinarian and the District Attorney’s Office.
Mumbulo was released after being issued appearance tickets for Edmeston Town Court next month.
