Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say an Oneonta man on his way to work was reported passing vehicles on a red motorcycle at a blistering 109 miles an hour on State Highway 28 in Delhi shortly after 8 a.m. July 11.

29 year old Kyle Vandewerker was reportedly seen driving in the area of Honest Brook Road. A Deputy was unable to pursue the motorcycle due to its unsafe speed and direction traveling south toward the Village.  The investigation found the bike didn’t go into the village and Vanderwerker was located later in the day.

Deputies say they found he had turned off State Highway 28 onto Hollister Hill Road, not knowing he had passed a Sheriff’s Patrol while going over 100 miles an hour.

He was issued several tickets and ordered to appear in Town of Delhi Court at a later date.
