Oldies Review Rocks the Forum

A lot of great memories were shared on Thursday night at the Forum in Binghamton when three outstanding singing groups turned back the hands of time.  Cornell Gunter's Coasters, The Platters and The Drifters sang many of their hit songs and added a few holiday favorites as well.

Cornell Gunter's Coasters performed many of the groups hits including Yakety Yak, Charlie Brown and Poison Ivy. The Platters featured hits like Only You, The Great Pretender and My Prayer.  The Drifters sang and danced to favorites like Under the Boardwalk, Stand By Me and On Broadway.

The performers got the crowd involved swaying and clapping to the sounds of their past hits. Many of the original group members have passed away but the sound of their music remains strong even today.
