One of country's biggest acts is making a stop in the Southern Tier as this year's performer at the 2021 Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

In a press conference streamed on Facebook, Dick's Sporting Goods Open Tournament Director John Karedes announced that Old Dominion is slated to perform the much-anticipated Friday night concert at En-Joie Golf Course.

Tournament week this year is scheduled for June 28-July 4, meaning the concert would take place on July 2 after the conclusion of that day's tournament play.

Old Dominion have won plenty of awards in recent years, including the 2020 CMT Music Awards Group Video of the Year, Academy of Country Music Awards Vocal Group and Song of the Year, and the Country Music Association Awards Vocal Group of the Year.

Still, the concert will look a little different this year...

How are Dick's Sporting Goods Open concert tickets being sold?

As of writing, the Open will have a max-capacity of 5,000 people each day of the tournament. All tickets sold for the tournament this year will be good for all three days of the tournament. Tickets will be all digital, and transferable to other people (like friends, family, etc.).

No additional tickets will be sold for the concert, so you will need one of those three-day tournament tickets to attend the concert.

What will concert seating be like?

The concert will take place next to the 18th green as usual. Karedes mentioned that 1,100 of the ticket are for the hospitality pass, so there are about 3,900 potential people that will be watching on the 18th hold.

To put it in perspective, Karedes mentioned that the number of people who attend the concert most years is north of 20,000, so there will be plenty of room for people to spread out.

For the entirety of the tournament and concert, people will need to pass a temperature check and answer the standard questions regarding possible COVID exposure (have you been in contact with someone who has COVID, etc.) in order to enter.
