North Towanda Man Victim of Computer Scam

Pennsylvania State Police say an elderly North Towanda man is the victim of a computer scam.

Authorities say someone sent the 72 year old a message claiming his computer was infected with a virus.

The scammer asked for $301 to fix the computer which the victim sent to the scammer.

At that time, the criminal was able to gain access to the victim’s bank account.

Troopers say the incident is a scam and people should not send money
