The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team fell to the NJIT Highlanders 74-57 Friday night at the Events Center.  It was the first meeting between the two schools at the Division I level.  NJIT won a previous contest when both schools were play at the D-III level.

The Highlanders held a 29-20 lead at the end of the first half and outscored Binghamton 45-37 in the second half.  NJIT ups its record to 2-0 while the Bearcats fall to 0-2.  NJIT is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Diandre Wilson from NJIT led all scorers with 21 points.  The Bearcats had two players in double figures.  Freshman Sam Sessoms scored 13 points and senior J.C. Show hit for 12 points.

The Bearcats remain home to host Misericordia Monday night at 7:00 P.M.  BU then heads out for back-to-back road games.  Binghamton plays at Northwestern in the Big Ten and then at Colgate before returning home to host Sacred Heart on Saturday, November 24 at 2:00 P.M.
