Newark Valley Man Jailed After Dispute

A Tioga County man was arrested following a disturbance in the Town of Newark Valley.

Authorities say 33-year-old Jonathan Bonsell of Bailey Hollow Road, Newark Valley, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. He also faces counts of criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, the arrest was made in connection with a domestic incident at Bonsell's home.

Bonsell was arraigned in Newark Valley town court. He was sent to Tioga County Jail on $500 bail.
