A check of liquor sales in the area by the New York State Police and State Liquor Authority recently has resulted in charges against workers at four retailers during an Underage Drinking Enforcement Detail in Broome County.

State Police say they checked 14 locations August 31 and found four cases were alcohol was sold to an underage operative in Chenango, Kirkwood and Conklin.

Authorities also checked stores in the Village of Windsor and Town of Colesville.

Workers in the cited stores were charged with a violation of Prohibited Sale of Alcoholic Beverage to a Minor and order to appear in court at a later date.
