New York Lawmakers Hang on to Flavored Vape Ban
The Associated Press reports, New York's ban on flavored e-cigarettes may still be held up in court, but the state could not only try to keep it alive, but expand it.
The state's Public Health and Health Planning Council was scheduled to consider keeping the emergency ban on the sale of flavored vaping liquid on the books for another 90 days and possibly add in one of the most-popular tastes that is not under the current ban.
The council had approved the ban on flavors like mango, strawberry and Dragon Breath in September which did not include tobacco or menthol flavors. A state appeals court blocked New York from enforcing its ban in October.
Word is coming from Albany that Council members could also vote to ban menthol e-cigarette flavoring under the proposed extension.
