New York Launches Reliable Site for Ukraine Information
A new website is available offered by New York State and its partners to help Ukrainian people, their friends and allies find resources.
The launch of the website follows another warning from state officials about scammers trying to take advantage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the desperation of refugees and the generosity of New Yorkers wanting to help.
Governor Kathy Hochul says the state put together trusted resources to help support Ukraine and especially Ukrainians in New York State.
The Office for New Americans provides free support services to all immigrants in New York State regardless of status including access to free legal support, English language courses, mental health support, workforce tools like resume writing and digital literacy skills and access to developmental disability services.
Other information on the website include tips on avoiding donation scams, immigration assistance, emotional support and help for U.S. citizens in Ukraine who are trying to get out.
