New York Governor Wants More Booze Sales at Movies
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is looking to making it easier for you to enjoy a Pinot with your popcorn while taking in the latest blockbuster at the local cineplex.
The Democrat January 3 proposed changing the state’s alcoholic beverage control law to allow beer, wine, cider, mead and spirits sales at the movies.
Right now, theaters can only sell alcohol if they have full kitchens and tables inside screening rooms.
The Governor's office said the move would benefit craft brewers and distilleries while also benefiting movie theaters.
